Project Description:

Located in Vancouver Island, The Evergreen Recovery Center is a thoughtfully designed mental health and addiction treatment facility that fuses the indoor environment with the outdoor space. Symbolized by the evergreen tree, patients will experience growth, strength, and resilience as they make their way through their harsh winter cold and into their blooming recovery.

Designed to support the natural human need to connect with people and their environment, this facility is constructed within four separate buildings to revert the focus from the destination to, instead, the journey that users take as they move from place to place, highlighting the swift, gradual movement to recovery that is reminiscent of the evergreen tree.
